Queen isolation cages can be used as part of Varroa mite IPM (integrated pest management) to force a brood break. Alternatively the cage can be used as a timing cage for queen rearing to get a more precise age of larvae.

**Please note - the cage fits very snugly into the hive. There is very little clearance room for the cage to fit around the frame and some minor modification may be required to fit into the FD super**
